Trying to hook up my msd 2 step. Is a clutch switch supposed to give a constant 12v or once the car is started its not supposed to have 12volt. The 2 step will not work with the clutch. This should not be this hard.

for some reason I wired mine with a transbrake button to actuate my line lock and 2 step, there are two wires, one is for 12 v activation and the other is for ground activation, would have to look at a wiring diagram or you could just see what you have at the connector with a multi-meter, I set my button up to ground because that worked for both my 2-step and how I wired my line lock....

did you look and make sure that the led on ? if hooked up wrong it give you no led light.
I hooked mine up to the clutch switch and mine worked.
Got everytbing figured out thanks everyone
