Einehund, that's shockingly scary! I think I've seen your runs on YouTube, very nice [emoji106][emoji481] My logic behind this, is I will never get anywhere near 200, but 150, now and then, yes. When buying tires, I want the highest speed rated tire, as they are built stronger and have an extra margin of safety built in, even though I would never get to their Vmax. Same thing with the valve stems / TPMS sensors. Mine are 10 years old now, and I don't trust them. I read Bonneville outlaws TPMS sensors, over 130mph? Back in the past, I would always request new valve stems, with every new tire mounting. These sensors seem to encourage bad unsafe behavior, as they are expensive to replace. Typical of most government over reaching programs, the have unintended negative consequences. If I could, minus the idiot light, I would use a regular metal stem. Also, I'm running 20" rims which adds one more inch to the orbit they take, compared to the 19 inch stock rims. Maybe this reduces their 155mph rating to 145? I would be interested in any recommended non TPMS stems, that other high speed drivers use in their GT500s. Does running with TPMS light on trigger any fail safe mode of traction control, stability control, or ABS systems? I know this may seem trivial, or a "best headlight fluid" thread, but I take this seriously. Thanks!
