Yup, it's for real. Roush only did about 200 of them. The motor stayed stock but they did do exhaust, lowering springs and sway bars so it handles and sounds really great.

That is one good looking Cougar...

My wife has a Black 2000. Its her Pretty Kitty.

Thanks ... Cougars have really proven themselves to me. The wife needed an SUV to tow a horse trailer so I'll be sad to see this go. :(

Hey Aaron,
The cougar looks good! I am sure going to miss that car :( There used to be a website called customcougars.com. Now, it will redirect you to another site:
http://creativecompacts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=9902Cougar

The owner is still the same, a guy names James. He used to own an amazing turbo cougar and is probably one of the best, if not the best, when it comes to the cougar. I would definately give him a call and just talk to him about the possibilities. The exhaust on the that car came from his past business: customcougars.com and it is truly an amazing piece.

Also, check out these sites. Remember that 2.5L engine was also used in the contour. Some easy upgrades are things like the intake off a svt contour and shorty shifter. Also, a lot of the focus parts will fit.
