Selling my 2003 Ford SVT Cobra coupe in Mineral Gray. Owned it for a little less than a year, has about 90,000 mi and recently did a major service. Car runs and drives great, however, there is a constant "howling" noise coming from the transmission area. Thought it was related to something in the clutch assembly but is still present after I replaced the clutch, throwout bearing and pilot bearing, and it's really only audible at idle. On a very intermittent basis, the transmission has popped out of 6th gear. It doesn't have any problem entering the gear and shifts great otherwise. Clean title and the carfax will show a minor fender bender in the passenger front quarter. Can provide upon request. Tires have a couple 32nds left of tread. Car also stops great with the new brake setup. Interior is in great shape minus the dime sized burn mark in the rear passenger seat. The exterior is good as well, there are a couple of paint chips and some scratches, tried to capture this with the photos.
Below is a list of the recent maintenance and modifications:
• Service at 89,000 mi
o Mobil 1 5w20 Oil Change
o Clutch replaced with Mcleod Super Street Pro, 26 spline
o Flywheel replaced with Mcleod Aluminum Lightweight version
o Professionally balanced clutch assembly
o Pilot bearing replaced with Ford racing version
o Throwout bearing replaced with Ford OEM
o Input shaft replaced with 26 spline version from AMP Performance
Shaft properly shimmed after install
Factory 10 spline is known to break under higher power
o Transmission fluid replaced
o Differential mounts replaced with solid versions from Full Tilt Boogie Racing
o Rear diff cover replaced with Ford Racing version
Known to break under acceleration
Full Tilt Boogie Racing milled version
o Rear diff fluid change with Royal Purple
o Alternator replaced with OEM Bosch unit w/ lifetime warranty
o Front and rear brake rotors and pads replaced with full Powerstop kit,
o Brake fluid flush with ATE Type 200
• Stiegemeier Stage 4 port with 2.8in pulley
• JLT cold air intake
• Adjustable clutch cable
• Billet clutch quadrant
• Steeda Tri-Axe shifter
• SLP Loudmouth axle back exhaust
• 18in Cosmis black wheels
I have really enjoyed this car but I am looking to downsize and buy property. Also have a complete Full Tilt Boogie Racing IRS kit and offroad H-pipe that I can include for an additional cost, will be selling separately otherwise. Asking $18,000 obo.
