Hello svtp. My friend has a 2004 Mustang GT and every time hes cruising on the freeway anywhere from 70-80 mph the traction kicks on and the light turns on the dash and he isn't able to press the pedal to accelerate. Its almost like the computer is triggering a wheel spin at higher speeds. We tried re-setting the ecu, but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

Someone told us to check the wheel sensors.

Did this begin occurring directly after making another change on the vehicle, such as changing the tune file, installing new tires, replacing the brake pads, etc.? Does this occur even if the Traction Control is disarmed (light on the switch illuminated) via the switch in the center stack? Any ABS issues or indicator light to report?

he only changed the front tires and nothing else. It doesn't happen when the traction is disarmed only when it's armed on the highway.
