not sure how accurate this list is, just thought i'd share with you guys. i am pretty surprised the wrx made top of that list, didn't know they were nearly that bad. mustang's aren't on that list, which is always a good thing. ford however is on it 3 times(focus, escape, excursion).

true, but i don't care about GM- i don't see myself ever buying one really.

and i wonder what kind of complaints these customers made. do they complain about how a gigantic 64oz drink from 7 eleven doesn't fit in their cup holder?

Most likely, that's what I was thinking. As far as the Subaru goes, it's the Impreza model which would also be the WRX & STI complaints. It’s probably just a bunch of people whining about not having enough horse power and other nitpicking crap.

I'm suprised the Hummer did not make the list. I understand the build quality is terrible on those things. There is a local dealer near me with more used ones than new ones in the lot.

They are supposedly the most unreliable car in the US, according to JD Power. 220 problems per 100 cars when the industry average is at something like 130.

Just for reference I went to the above site and searched on complaints regarding Mustangs. For the 2003 model year the site seperates Mustangs into three categories. They list "Mustang" then "Mustang Convertible" and finally "Mustang GT." The site does not list Cobra's as a separate item. It seem like Cobra complaints were lumped into the "Mustang" category.

Here are the 2003 complaint numbers on the site:

"Mustang" - 77
"Mustang Convertible" - 16
"Mustang GT" - 33

Total of all 2003 Mustang categories - 126

For 2004 there was only one Mustang category.

For 2004 there were 13 Complaints.

So for the 03/04 model years there have been a total of only 139 complaints!

The numbers above may not comparable to the numbers above. I don't know.

Welp,

That doesn't surpise me. What also doesn't surpise me is that there are FOUR Honda/Acura models on the list.

Oh, yeah, these Hundah's have superior build and quality, don't they... :nonono:

Wouldn't you also have to look at how many cars are sold, as compared to how many have complaints? Or is that already calculated in the original numbers shown?

Funny you should say that, because driving today I had a new HID equipped H2 behind me - left light flickers, goes out. i remember it because it was an odd colour, and I took note that the license plate at the stoplight had been just registered about a week ago...

...Owners of the new F150 don't.

Seriously, the biggest ass 7-11 slurpee cup fits!
I test drove one of the new FX4's today!

You are absolutely right! It order to really compare what is going on you would have to calculate the number of complaints per car produced.

What really surprises me about the list is how high Corvette is on it. I guess I didn't realize that people were having so many problems with them.

Interesting....:dw:

honda and subaru being very high up there is very interesting to see. I would assume ford would also be merc and linc, so the amount of cars can be huge compared to say subaru...

VW+audi = :nonono:

new benz build quality also = :kaboom:
