A friend has a 2005 4.6 GT with a Roush M90. We were considering a intercooler upgrade and I was wondering if anyone has ever installed a 11/12 GT500 intercooler? They are dual pass and were sold by Ford Racing as an upgrade for earlier model GT500's. I realize dual fan is always the best way to go but we are just looking for an upgrade, his car isn't raced. Any input or experience would be appreciated.

The M90 is a tiny blower originally designed for a V6. So they do get hot when you lean on them. A relatively cheap upgrade is a heat exchanger from a 13/14 GT500. The 13/14 are considerably larger than the 07-12 units. I believe there's one up for sale now from a 13 in the GT500 parts section.

Do you have any idea if there would be any figment issues with the 13/14 heat exchanger in the 2005? I actually have a 13/14 heat exchanger.
