Anybody tackled replacing the heater core on a 2007 F150? I've read horror stories from having to entirely remove the dash, as well as other people claiming you just yank off a cover on the passenger side behind the glove box.

I really don't want to take it to the dealer. But I can't afford to mess it up and not have the vehicle, as it's my daily driver. Any tips or help out there?

i have a 2004-2008 f-150, but i have not actually done it, so my advice is probably not worth very much.

edit: well apparently my understanding for all these years has been wrong. chilton's says that the whole dash needs to be removed, you have to crack the a/c system, the whole nine yards. crud.
