Damn very good runs. Did you meet him one of the local meets, I haven't found to many 2013 500s that want to play around.

Nice. Took my pops for a ride in mine today to top of third. He's a fan... Can't wait to do the heads/cam/headers.

You made the right choice with the z. H/c/I/exhaust and not much will be able to touch you.

The wife gave me the go-ahead on the heads/cam so they should be going on very soon. Super excited!

Drivers race for sure, very evenly matched. Wonder what your Z would make on that same dyno, 440-450s?

are you sure that is a 2013 shelby gt500 cause i would think the 2013 shelby gt500 would walk a stock c6 z06. ,,

C6Z06 H/C vs 13 GT500 bolt ons roll 40-150mph - YouTube

here is a video of a head & cam c6 z06 vs a 2013 shelby gt500 bolt ons

Two modded cars is a completely different race. Those bolt on's will get that Shelby north of 700RWHP easily depending on the size of the upper pulley. With a 15% lower and an upper, I'm fairly certain you have to be on E85 or C16 with that boost level, so it's conceivable he is making 750+ and with a 3.73 gear, it would pull very hard. I would say that Z with it's set up is around 540-560RWHP off the spray.

Why most z06 shutdown at end of 4th? Time to step up and shift to 5th which is a weakness for z06.

Just funny most races eliminate the two weaknesses, the launch in 1st gear and 5th gear. As for going over 160 mph, I see many of the guys at TX2K13 go over 160 mph especially GTTs. For big HP cars, racing 70-160 takes less than 5 s, that is not much time for someone to come around.

Maybe Z06 guys don't like to admit it, but a friend with Cam Z06 says he need gears to pull in 5th gear because it falls flat on its face. Z06 is fast as hell especially if you run their race.

Because 4th goes to 160, why would u ever need to race higher than that?

The GT500 is heavy but for it to keep up with a c6z06, its fast. stock 03 cobra, stock 5.0, boss, whatever, will get its ass handed to it by a c6z06.

I will second that. Badass cars but either the 2013 are not all there cracked up to be for $70k or the C6Z is just a beast.

I know the weight is 600#s but damn.

C6Z's are 3200ish and 2013 GT500's are 3700-3800#s I thought but the rwhp difference is 150-160 or so. Im still impressed with the C6Z IMHO.

Well Ur talking about cars with 800+whp not bone stock cars.....and 5th gear in the Z the GT500 may start to pull a little but the GT500 is gonna have to shift to 5th at some point as well then the Z will pull back.
