I have a 2010 GT500 with the Shaker 1000 sound system with Sync. I wanted to get opinions on adding a new head unit to this that supports apple/android auto, BT that would tie into the shaker 1000. I found a few kits on cructchfield that look good. They key seems to be the
iDatalink Connec KIT-MUS1 Factory Integration Adapter

I looked on american muscle and those radios look so generic.

I used the metra kit to replace my factory nav unit in the car.

That looks great. What head unit did you go with?

What year car do you have? Did you have the shaker 1000 installed? If so, how difficult was it wiring the shaker, steering wheel controls etc.

I have a 2010 that came with nav and the shaker 500 however that kit works with both shaker systems. Wiring wasn’t any more difficult than any other stereo I’ve installed I did have to reprogram the steering wheels controls to have them match up.
And the radio is a pioneer avic 8500
