Maybe you can fill us in on how the coolant flows. Out of the drivers head and into the passenger head? Curious.

Coolant flows from front to back, bottom to top and only balanced at the front, the cylinder head temp sensor is only on the passenger side, this means not only does # 8 run hotter because of the water jacket design shown below but also that the ECU has no idea that it is running warmer on the driver bank and does not make timing calculations to accomodate the higher temps. This part directly and indirectly fixes all aspects of the concern.
