This is all I can tell you, my car had 100% lock out when doing any sort of spirited driving. The car had 2,000 miles on it and had not improved. Tech at my Ford dealership ( a tranny tech of 25 years) called me after taking it apart and said all of the parts looked perfect and that I must not have beaten on it much. I hadn't, I would attempt a shift every 500 miles or so to see if it would break in. He went on the say the blocker ring had some groves or something in it and was installed the opposite of what the Ford book showed. They called in the FSE confirmed it was supposed to be installed as the book diagram showed. A new syncro assembly and second gear were installed (these did have revised part numbers). I now have 1500 miles on it with an easy 500 mile break in. I can floor it in first and make a clean grind free shift from any gear as fast as my feet and hands will allow me. Im not pro drag racer, but I can shift pretty fast. The 1-2 is still a little notchy when cold but after 10 miles or so it shifts very nice. The dealer would have no reason to lie to me, maybe i misunderstood what was installed incorrectly. Now before my dealer agreed to fix my car they had worked with another dealer in the state who had repaired several cars and they told my tech what to look for and sure enough found it the same problem they had found in about 50% of the cars they had repaired. I would be happy to give you the dealers information and names of the mechanic and service manager via PM if you would like to talk to them. Bottom line is. Car didn't shift = unhappy customer. Now car shifts =
