The FSE guy said that I had powershifted the car and he said I told him that I powershifted the car which he says means the pedal to the metal and shift hard and fast without using the clutch. I found a road and took off in 1st gear and at 4200 rpms went to second and it grind bad. The FSE then drove it to see if he could get it to grind, but he would shift at less than 1000 rpms and it would not grind, but he did not shift quickly, but he did manage to jerk the car around, due to not shifting correct. The arbertrator then drove the car and I did not hear it grind, but he also was not familar with the manual transmission and jerked us around some. I will have an answer this comming Monday of the arbertrators decision. the 19th of November 2011 and if I am able to post without a gag order I will. I did ask Ford why did they build a car with 550hp, supercharged and and not be able to withstand the hp with that transmission. They had no answer.
I just wanted to give you an update of the 1st to 2nd grind on my 2011 Shelby gt500. I went to arbertations today at my local BBB. Their was a Ford rep. there and he was a FSE ( Field Service Engineer) and someone from Ford on the phone. So took on Ford!!. The FSE guy said that I had powershifted the car and he said I told him that I powershifted the car which he says means the pedal to the metal and shift hard and fast without using the clutch. I told him that was a lie and I said I always use the clutch and all the way to the floor. I explained that Ford manufactured a High Performance Car with 550hp and it has a defect part (Transmission), and unable to drive it in the manner for a High Performance Car. They kelp talking about in the Shelby Hand book on page 9 that I had abused the recomended sujestions and if I keep doing it, the transmission would tear up. I again imformed them that it says recomend not maditory. Myself, FSE, and the arbertator went for a test drive.
