Picked up this Taco over a month ago and have been wanting to do some good paint correction on it. Well the weather has been deteriorating so I decided to go light on the correction and seal it for winter.
2012 Tacoma TRD OR Super White II (single stage)
76,000 miles
Tried out CG Citrus wash for the first time to remove the dealer wax. Used the two bucket method with grit guards. Clayed with Megs D151 and a fine Nanoskin mitt. Used CG APC for wheels, wheel wells and tires. First step was 3D HD Speed glaze/AIO. I did two passes on the hood as you can see below using a white Lake Country flat pad on my Griot's Garage 6" DA. The AIO actually seemed to correct and/or fill the swirls pretty well. Finished with 3D Poxy sealant. Hopefully this should last me the winter. All plastic and tires were coated with CG VRP (I really like this stuff!). VRP can go on light, heavy multiple coats. Very easy to use and can give you as much shine out of your plastic and rubber as you want.
In the spring I'd like to go at the paint with Megs 105 and/or 205 depending on how easily the paint corrects fully and how much of the AIO corrected vs filled and then finish off with Collinite 845.
