2013 Black Shelby/with dis-colored stripes

Today, while giving my year old, 7900 miles, GT500 a wash and wax job, I noticed that the black stripes seemed to be faded in places. As a Ford Dealer is near by, I took the car in for their inspection. They took photo and referred it to Ford. No response from Ford at this point. Question; is anyone else having a fading issue with the matted black stripes on their black 13 Shelby?

Are you sure they haven't gotten wax on them? Car wax on them looks good at first and then makes them seem faded with a whitish powder like tarnish to their finish.

Yes - same guy, a pro, has handled car detailing since day one.

Question; is anyone else having a fading issue with the matted black stripes on their black 13 Shelby?

No problem here, with ~7.2K miles on mine. FWIW, I periodically treat my stripes and all my trim with Adams's Super VRT, which provides SPF 35 protection.

Up date - Ford is going to Warranty the stripes and replace the hood and trunk (glass-top car), Dealer took a couple of photo, sent them in and no argument from Ford.
