2013 GT... Dragstar backspacing

Damnit I didn't want to have to come on here and ask this question... that im sure has had been asked several times but. I am about to order some Dragstars for my '13 , looking to go with the 17x4.5 and the 15x10 setup. But which backspacing?? I have searched and flipped the words around in google enough im just going to risk getting flamed here to get the info quickly...lol


So what do you guys run? Pics? Specs?

No flames here, I have tried to find this info as well but other than the basic measurements of 17x4.5 or 15x10 I never saw any backspace numbers.

I've come across one thread and which forum I don't recall because it was via google. But saw 15x10 with a 7.5 backspacing to tuck or you can get away with 6.5 which will protrude from the fender a bit. Who in the hell wants wheels sticking out of the fender is beyond me but... so far its all ive come across and im just looking for some confirming information and pics to make sure its what I want... im a picky SOB about my stance

Details on the fronts? Tire and wheel size. The link you sent is for a 15" front wheel. I didn't think that would clear the 4p brembos at all.

Just look at their site for specs... They also have a 17/15 combo, but those wont clear the brembos either.

Wow, no way I'd think a 17 could clear those but I guess I never tried or measured.

I guess now that I think about it. I mostly see 17/15 setups and some of them would have to have the brembos.

I'm guessing with the backspacing and thin nature of a 4.5'' wide wheel the material that would normally come into contact with the caliper is just not a factor with a 17''.

I am still skeptical until I see someone post a picture with the brembos and the 17''

The DarkStars in 15x10 are 7.25" bs. That 1/4" isn't much but was enough to bug me so I swapped to Weld's with a 7.5" bs and that still almost isn't enough for my taste. A narrowed rear is in my car's future, thinking about an 1 1/2 off each side with a 6.5" bs wheel.
