My two buddies raced last night, bone stock 2013 GT500 vs. a 2006 GT, with a swap from an 08' gt500. Pulley, Tune (on 91 Octane), Catless X, Stinger cat-back and intake.

Nope, no WOT box, he's a driver though haha.

I was passenger in the 06, i got video but the vid sucks cuz we were infront. The video is from the 2013 obviously.

08 GT500's come with what 500hp? with all the stuff done to the car he would be making mid 500's. The 13 GT500 makes 662 so stock would be low 600's. How much less does the GT weigh than the gt500?

Just how I see it but maybe I am completely wrong.

They are pretty close. GT makes 566 at the wheels. Assuming 12% drivetrain loss that is like 645 bhp. Probably is a little lighter than the Shelby but not by much. It still has the hefty iron block, but was on 15" Racestars and skinnys so that saves a lot of weight. I credit the driving and whoever built that GT (haha kidding... kind of). That car is known to surprise "faster" cars if anyone has seen this vid
