Have seen several installs, but decided to do a little more detail in this one, especially when there appears to be differences on the 2014's

1) I used the vent near the radio for mine, so first step was to remove the actual vent, this is accomplished by simply grabbing the vent vanes and applying steady pulling pressure

2) Installed the new gauge and holder using the existing chrome ring. You will first need to remove the plastic mesh that is in the vent

3) I added some additional wire to the existing gauge wire, and also used better vacuum line. I wanted my gauge to light up white, so I tied the red and white wires together.

4) Next I removed the plastic covers, that cover the steering column, since I used an accessory wire off of the ignition. To remove the lower piece there are 3 - 7/32 screws that have to be removed, the upper is held in place by 2 screws right under the dash

5) With easy access now to the steering column, I routed the vacuum and power wires.

6) You can now put the gauge and vent back into place and button the interior piece up

7) I got the 12V accessory wire from this plug on the left side of the steering column

8) The wire color is Violet/Green

9) I prefer to solder the connections so stripped back a little insulation and tied the red and white wires from the gauge to the Violet/Green wire (Its easier to work with if you unplug the harness from the column)

10) I added a ring terminal on the end of the ground wire, and this is the hardware I used for attachment

11) The location I chose for the ground wire is this hole that is in one of the support beams under the dash

Here is the ground then attached

12) Tested the gauge for power by turning key to accessory position and starting vehicle

13) Routed the vacuum wire along vent duct and through the firewall though rubber grommet above parking brake(forgot to get picture, but will add them tomorrow)

14) The 2014 intake has a vacuum port that seems like it was made just for this(this is directly above the line that most ppl use on previous year vehicles)! There is a vacuum cap over an unused port on the intake. So simply removed the cap and plumbed the vacuum line into it.

15) Buttoned the vacuum lines up

16) Tested to make sure we show vacuum.....Success!

17) Buttoned the engine bay and interior back up and then went for a test drive.

Great job! I bought this set up for a Christmas gift. I will probably end up doing the install, so this will really stream line the job.
I might even get one for myself.
thanks,

I have the same set up in my 2011. When off, it doesn't read in the "zero" range anymore. Crappy gauge. Roush doesn't care either. I've emailed and called. No responses

Why would it matter what the gauge reads when its off??

Mechanical gauges should zero when not under vacuum or boost. The bourdon tube responds to these differences and mechanically moves the needle. Other than a bad or poorly made gauge, overboost usually undoes the calibration.
