I did a search and didn't find anything so apologies if this has been addressed before but just wanted to see if anyone had done a 2015 style decklid or even just the larger GT letters w/ no faux gas cap on a 2010-2014 Stang? I was looking at a gray 2015 GT vert driving ahead of me today and thinking having that style badging in place of the faux gas cap would look pretty good. I'm not sure how the decklid looks without the gas cap or whether a 2015 GT badge would cover the same area on the regular deck lid. Anyone seen anything like this or also interested in trying something like this?

Yeah I kind of figured that might be the case, unfortunately, but still wanted to see if anyone had been working on anything like this or had see anything like it.

issue is the big lump on the trunk. i dont know why no one else makes a decklid similar to rtr i assume they have some sort of patent on it that prevents others from simulating it. but cutting a hole in your trunk is kinda sketchy anyway

I HATE the faux gas cap...but I don't like the big RTR letters either...would love a smooth panel for there or even something that says GT or 5.0

ya which doesnt make sense, people are paying crazy money for those. im surprised no one has made something similar.

i've reached out twice to rtr this year to see if they are going ot make it again and they seem unsure. the first time said yes we're ironing out the details with a new manufacture and the second person seemed to have a less informative response.

So there's nothing else like the RTR panel at all? I haven't looked extensively but it seems there aren't a lot of options for the rear decklid on the 2010 - 2014 Stangs.

Oh hi there! Is this what you're somewhat thinking of? Not my car, is a friend of mine.

IF that had a little concavity to it, like the stock piece, to fit the curvature of the tail lights that would be perfect. I love the old school lettering at the top of the trunk also.

They may not have done that due to it being difficult to place solid emblems on the curved decklid.

It could also be due to the fact that to use a deck lid piece like the RTR one, you have to cut the deck lid itself under the fake gascap, in order for the curved piece to fit flush. The trunk lid bubbles out to bolt up into the raised gascap. One fix to make a piece that fits without cutting your trunk up would be to make one that's flat and not concave. That's why everything other that's the RTR piece is made flat like that. And it's just my personal opinion but I prefer the concave deck lid. I'd cut my trunk in half to make the RTR unit fit. Just someone please make one or sell me a used one.
