These newer (and the new ones form Ford and GM) big c.i. gasers are darn near as potent as diesels from not all that long ago. Especially when you figure in the advancements of the AT, that can keep them in their power bands.

For 90% of us, a properly equipped gas HD truck is all we'd ever need.

Back in 09 an V10 pulled as well as my stock 6.4 PSD. I suspect the 7.3L Godzilla and 10R140 will be a potent package. I would certainly consider it.

Damn. I was always suprised that FCA didn’t offer the 4.44 ratios like in the C&C trucks.

They run different axles in the chassis cab trucks with a much broader range of factory ratios. The 2500 & 3500 uses AAM 9.25/11.5 axles and FCA has nothing listed past 4.10's. At least not that I could find. The 4500 uses a beefier Dana S111 rear.

Youre right. Im thinking of the 4500 and 5500 trucks.
