About a and a half ago,I had a reputable shop install a McLeod RXT and 26 spline input shaft. Well fast forward to this past summer. Get my Whipple E85 setup finished and then bam, 4th gear is acting up and the trans get stuck if you can shift into 4th. I got everything apart today and found the 3-4 shift keys stuck to the case magnets and once I got to the input shaft found a huge issue. The race for the main shaft bearing that sits inside the input shaft was missing. The rollers from the bearing just laying inside the input shaft! I figured at some point the trans would need an upgrade but this car only has 14k miles on it and the trans was a lot louder since I drove it off there lot. Anyways, thought I would just give everyone a heads up if your doing it yourself. I can't remember if I bought the d&d or liberty input shaft but you need that race for the bearing to sit in.
