Are these gears specific for the Gt500's or will they work in a 98 Cobra 8.8?
Not really sure, I believe they work on any 8.8. The bearing kit is the only gt500 specific part. Maybe some other mustang guys can chime in to verify this.
The late model GT500 uses a different pinion nut and bearing, the rest of the kit is the same for 1986 up rears.
