Well I posted before that after the gear swap oil leaked.
Was not the quad shock leaking. I took and smelled the old gears, and they smell exactly like the oil all over the pass. side tire and fender well.
(I am a HVAC Tech, Wish now I was a auto tech)
Took it back to the repair shop after I degreased it, (my mistake) and he said he looked in and the seal looks good. And the level is still full so Try it again.
Well it is leaking still.
It leaks bad when I romp on it hard, and hardly leaks if I drive it like grandma.
I am now thinking maybe it needs a repair bearing.Could it be bad where the bearing is seated and make it leak under load?
They have repair bearings in stock at the parts store.
Any one ever use them? And are they ok?
Thanks for all the replies and help.

I knew it was gear oil

If they replaced the seals when you did the gear install they should have looked at the axles for wear. If the seal is leaking you may need "axle saver" seals instead. There is nothing wrong with "axle saver" seals, all they do is relocate the position of the seal on the axle.

You should return to the shop that did the gears and make them own up to their misdiagnosis/improper install. If not just contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair and make a claim.
