+1 for 4.10s

I installed them back when I was on a stock motor and loved them. Now I have a built motor that pulls to ~7,400 rpms and I wish I had 4.30s.

I've had 4.30s for almost 10 years with a stick t45.
I run a 295/35/18 rear tire.

I've always seen 2800 at 80

Then your tach is wrong. A 26" tire at 80 mph with .67 OD gear is just under 3000 rpm... roughly 2980 to be exact.

4.30's are way too much if you spend time on the hwy.

4.30. Don't fear the gear! I swear my MPG went up with them on the highway. Heck, the faster I drove the car on the highway, the better the MPG.

Do you have (or have you owned) a 96-01 4V? They love the gear, and to say it's too much highway gear is not correct, IMO.

Ok, so my tach may be off by 180 rpm. The user I quoted said it would be 3000+ RPM, which is not true.
Most modern day sedans have right around the same 2700-3000 RPM at 80mph

Which ones?

I know of 0 that are comparable to subject car and actually dont even know of any that have a v8.

Again.. if drag/race car have at it. But if a daily or a car that spends considerable amount of time on the hwy... 4.10 or 3.73 are a better option IMO.

no question, go 4.10 gears if its a 4v. 3.73 arent enough for these cars they rev higher than 2v and need the gear. if your not boosting your car they are a must imo
