I found one of the quiet FR500 systems (thanks Will) with the intention of using an o/r X-pipe. Is any benefit of using a 3" vs a 2.5" X-pipe with this catback, and how hard would it be to adapt the 3" to the 2.5" cat-back? Why would i do such a thing?

I read too much. This tells me that to make 600 fwhp a person should really have 3" exhaust. So I figure better to have the better-flowing 3" mid-pipe despite my less than ideal 2.5" cat-back. I'm planning on hitting 550 rwhp with my whipple. Through the manifolds, which doesn't help.
