Will the 305/35/20 Nitto NT555R tires fit OK and not rub on the 20x10 Alcoa wheels?

The back of the car in question (the girlfriend's '08 Shelby) is lowered using Ford Racing "L" springs, and the rear wheels currently have 285/30/20 Invos on them, tires that totally suck at putting down the 540+ rwtq the car has.

She wants better traction ... will these 305's fit?

The offset of the Alcoas push the outside of the wheel almost outside the fender (STUPID design), but she loves those wheels, so replacing them isn't really an option.

Plus, she wants an upgraded blower this winter, so the need for better traction will be even greater next year :)

I ran the 305/35/20 Nitto 555R's for a short time on my Black Mamba replica wheels which have almost the same exact offset as the Alcoa's.

I would get a slight rub over big bumps and I did not like how the drag radials felt on the highway.

From the pictures you posted, I would think your girlfriend's '08 would rub badly due to how low it sits.

The 305/35/20 is going to be 1 5/8" taller then your 285/30/20 and 3/4" wider.

A 295 30 20 tire (if it does not run wide) may be the maximum tire that you can run without rubbing mounted on Alcoas.

The car is lowered, not sure what springs as the previous owner installed them. image.jpg
