315/35/R17 Tire on stock Wheel

Need more input from the car gods!

Will a 315/35/R17 tire fit on a stock 03 Cobra wheel. I believe it is 17x9. Will it fit? And if so will it perform oK?

If it's a Nitto DR, yes, otherwise, not usually.

I've got those tires too. They feel great to me. From what I've heard, they are the only tires in that size that will fit the stock rim.

Got them on my stock rims. They work great.

Highway is good, rain is OK as long as you stay alert.

Traction is amazing compared to F1s and wheel hop is virtually eliminated.
Get em.

Ditto - Nitto 315's yes.
Other 315's very doubtful.

Got 315 BFG drag radials fit on stock 17 x 9 " rims ok, but wear is just on the middle 10" or so of tire. Hooks well and no wheel hop with my JDM QA1 shocks and moderate starts. According to Earl BFG has better traction than Nitto but wears faster.

Here's another shot of 315 BFG (left) vs 315 Nitto (right) on the stock rim... these pics were posted by totaled.

The Nitto 315/35-17 tire fits surprisingly well on the stock wheel. Pretty much a no brainer if you need traction for relatively cheap.
