Guys,

Quick question, and yes I drive the EVO. What are your stock 1/4 mile times at the track. I have seen two Cobras run at San Antonio Raceway. One was a 03 Cobra and he ran a 12.9 not sure on the trap speed. Second Cobra was a 04 and he ran a 12.7 again not sure on trap speed. Is this typical stock times? The reason for the question is, I am going to be racing a buddy of mine at the track. He has a 04 Cobra and it is in stock trim. Thanks for your help.

I didn't go to the track, I went up there to visit some friends. But I think some guys from here are gonna be heading up there to the track one of these weekends. Which track do you go to?

White with blacked out rims. I will be out at the track hopefully next Wednesday. I want to see what the new cams will do.

I ran a 12.7 bone stock (other than a shifter). So with your mods you really shouldn't have a hard time hingin with him. It just comes down to shifts and R/T.

Thanks for the information. I actually ran a 12.8 at 108 with 289WHP. After cam install I am sitting at 348WHP. Should hopefully run somewhere around 12.3-12.2 at 111. The reason why I asked is someone told me Cobra's run in the low 12's stock.

Really anywhere from 12.6-13.2 stock, it all depends on the track, weather and driver....

I <3 EVO's, what year is yours? Is it an VIII or RS? Post some pics!

12.6-8 is what I see bone stock. 111-113 mph. with 350 rwhp, and awd. You should be right around stock cobra times, maybe a little quicker if you can drive.

Keep in mind im talking BONE stock, with air silencer, stock goodyear f1's and everything. IF he has some nice tires, watch out....even just drag radials put them into the low 12's.

j8, you should trap closer to 115 with 350 to the ground. On my pump gas map ('04 STi) thats what I'm putting down at its good for 12.0 @115 and probably better with less 1st gear spin. I'm running a Zilla TD06 20g which is a little bigger than the TD05 twin scroll you guys have, but that amount of power should give you a faster trap than you are probably thinking. Sounds like a great car man! Let me know how it runs.

With 350 AWHP on a Mustang dyno I went 12.09 @115 in my Evo. If you are on a Dynojet you can expect to go more like 12.3. I ran that full weight plus dynamatted interior to get rid of the awful ricer sound penetrating the cabin. I'll run 11 next time. ;-)

With 272/264 cams and custom tune you can pick up 50-60whp. That is running on pump gas, put in the c16 and you can pick up 8-9 more whp. I have seen to people running the same custom tune and cams as me pick up that much. A lot but it is true.
