3V swap to GT500

Dunno if im posting in the good section. To make the engine works, do i need to change all the wiring and cluster or just the engine wiring .

I have the engine tranny and engine wiring .

Why would you?

I think u need a new harness. Let me see if I can confirm.

what are you talking about? From the post he's looking to swap a 3V motor (4.6 or 5.4L) into a GT500 roller.

Or he could be looking to swap a GT500 engine into a 3V car. Not clear at all from his post.

there are several write ups on doing that swap - look for threads started by 19cobra93 - did did exactly what you want to.

You will have to swap the whole body harness out with one from a GT500. In addition to the PCM and engine harness.

This is what it looks like halfway through the process (that is the body harness, and you have to remove the entire interior to get it out):

Think I would have to go with a stroked/ported heads/blower 3V and save a hell of a lot of hassle....

The guy bring me an engine from a 2010 It was suppose to be a 2007-09 . The wiring harness for the dash is not the same .

Is the harness for a 2009- will match the engine ??
