Shit, I put a fully loaded '12 Mt82 3.73 BBP car into the 11s on the Procal and slicks. Stock springs, shocks and bars through the factory airbox, headers, H and OTA pipes, just GT500 mufflers. You should be there now, easy, with no further mods. I used a 28X10" Hoosier slick on shitty '00 Mustang chromies. I used the 28" to keep it under the limiter at the stripe. 1.6 sixties all day long like this.

The 4.10's will be fine. Run a 28" bias tire. Your car will run 11's the way it sits. With the bias tire you'll lower your 60' enough to get into the 11's. It won't be with a 1.7 though. You'll prob need a high 1.5 or low 1.6. To help get a good launch, I'd try using a 2-step.

So which 28" bias ply do you suggest ?
And I will also be running skinnies in the front.

You want a stiff sidewall slick on these heavy ass Mustangs, they'll also hold air better than a regular sidewall tire.

If you aren't class racing that limits you to a 10.5 tire, and you're set a a M/T, run the M/T 28.0/10.5-15W, the W means its a tad wider than 10.5".

I use the Hoosier 18155, which is a stiff sidewall 28.0/10.5-15. They're also cheaper than the Mickey's, don't need a massive burnout to work so they will last a long time. I got five years out of my 1st set, I had to replace them due to the sidewall cracking, still had 1/4 of the wear holes left.

Those Hoosiers will hold a 7000 rpm clutch dump on a prepped track at 16lbs on my TVS car which weighs 4100lbs with me in it.

I think the 3.73's are plenty of gear. This is my second MT82 Coyote car, both have had 3.73's, and both have been pretty damn quick on street tires.

My 2012 GT w/ 285/35ZR19" Pirelli P-Zero's went 12.59 @ 113 mph with Roush Axle-backs and a custom tune. Bone stock everywhere else. Rev limiter was bumped to 7k, and it would JUST tag it in 4th right after crossing the stripe.

My 2013 GT has gone 12.32 @ 114 mph w/ a crappy DA on 255/40R19 Goodyear Eagle F1's. I shift at 7600 here, and am not anywhere close to the redline when crossing the stripe in 4th. Significantly more mods to support the higher redline, and I'm looking for 11's on street tires when I go back to the track in Oct.
