Bought a motor with a busted timing cover on it. XR3E-6C086-BB timing cover, 2001 Romeo Mustang GT 4.6 single bolt tensioner.
I'm about to pull my junk stock 1997 GT 4.6 engine out with the timing cover that has the 3 bolt tensioner, different belt path etc. F6AE-6D080-BC timing cover.
this swap doable? are there differences in pulleys and belt length between the two? 3 bolt tensioner a upgrade? should I swap all the pulleys minus the harmonic ballancer and run the stock serpentine belt for the 97 setup on the 01 GT 4.6? thanks, Jason
