my car stainless works headers& o/r xpipe,jlt cai,bbr tune
buddys 02 z06 vararam intake,axleback or catback not sure?

I had blow by install a 2.8 pulley and do a dyno tune when my I had the original motor a couple years ago, car ran strong! Enjoy your ride bud.

Nice run, but I still can't figure out how a lighter and more powerful car lost :shrug:

I doubt it's more powerful, judging by the mods mentioned. Lighter? Probably not a whole lot since it seems like someone was riding in the z06 and recording it.
Also, ever heard of gearing and net tq?

I can't see the video and can't see how bad you beat the Z, but from reading the other posts on here it, seems as your 425rwhp 5.0 (Headers, tune, CAI) out ran an otherwise stock C5Z w/ an intake (catbacks don't do anything on this car, the C5Z factory TI catback isn't a restriction until after 450rwhp).

I can definitely see this happening, it's essentially a 118-119mph 5.0 vs a 115-116 mph C5Z.
