I have up for sale a 5R55S 5 speed Auto TCI 10" 3000 stall converter, I had this in my 2006 GT, 5000 miles, only Ames oil in this, Great shape, the only reason it came out was I sold the car and the owner wanted it returned to stock. This converter dropped my 1/4 mile ET 3-4 tenths! The oil pan is a Performance Automatic unit and is only 2" deeper than stock, it runs even with the rear crossmember, and definitely NOT lower than the exhaust, it has a dipstick provision which comes up on the passenger side between the engine and battery, that alone is worth is weight in gold!
