i am doing a 5 speed swap on my car and i have 4.10s already in my car and im kinda worried about that being too much gear and not enjoying the 5 speed...so for anyone out there that has 4.10s with there 5 speed do you love it or hate it?? thanks for any help

had them in both cars 99GT and 04GT, great gear for racing, not to bad on the highway.
love mine! Depending on my set-up later on, I may go 430's if I stay N/A. But im not shifting till 6500 (redline 6800 but power already flattens out) though which is a big difference from the gt's
525hp with 5spd and 4.10's. Kind of low geared on the highway but overall they are awesome. Not sure what power your putting down, but if you are in 500's or up 1st is kind of useless at anything but 1/2 throttle.

You will be fine it's not that much of a step up from 3.73's which is a good street gear. I'm sure you will be happy with it, if they were 4.30 or higher 1st would be useless, you could start in 2nd every time lol.
Ive had 4.10's for 40k miles and the only reason I don't like them is because I do a lot of highway commuting.

I love my 4.10s. like everyone has said not the greatest for highway driving but not bad in the city. you will love them the first time you do like a 20 mph roll and just mash down on the pedal.
I had 3.73s in my 01 GT and they were a blast and I also had 4.10s in my 01 Bullitt. The 4.10's felt great, 1st gear wasn't too bad and neither was the highway. Definitely worth it!

I would say people "like" the 4.10's better because you are just plain faster, but it's a lot of shifting for those of us who daily drive our stangs thus why I went with 3.73's.
