I was thinking of getting a 6 speed Tranny from a wrecked 03 cobra, for my 2000 AOD GT i mean my GT is running fine i have a race set up in my current tranny with extra clutch packs and a big tranny cooler i have
-373 gears
- cold air intake
-underdrive pullys
- 70mm t/b
315 drag radials (nitto's)
xpipes
flowmaster catback
pro m chip
subframes
redid the tranny westpalmbeach morroso 13.5 104mph 2.2 60 ft

now my question is can i see different numbers with the new tranny or will i stay the same. Also i plan on bulding the engine for a Pro Charger later on what benifits will i have with the 6 speed compared to the AOD please help thanks

You'll still gain power switching to the six-speed. The only bonus on autos is that it's a little easier to launch one on slicks with a stall then to launch a manual. And that in big power app's where you need to shift ever second, the auto makes up for the drivers reaction time and speed or lack of it.

I think that if you're serious about making a high/fast reving supercharged car, stick with a built auto because in the end, even if you dyno higher with the stick, your track times will be better with the automatic.
