I am in need of some tips on installing 60# injectors, has anyone seen a how-to for this? Any kind of help would be appreciated as of right now I would be going in without a clue.

Stock to 60# Injector Procedure:
  • Remove 4 fuel rail bolts
  • Disconnect injector leads and number (hard to mix up though)
  • Pull up fuel rail with injectors
  • Pull injectors out of fuel rail
  • Check to see all O-rings are on top of injectors
  • Install new injectors in fuel rail (spit on the O-ring is helpful)
  • Re-install fuel rail and injectors
  • Re-install fuel rail bolts
  • Connect adapters to injector lead and injectors
  • Tune and have fun

You may have to remove the TB/and plenum to get at some on the passenger side. I changed mine while the TB and plenum were off.

just a quick question... what is the harness used for? Is that like an extension for the wiring if lets say you upgrade to a KB? is the harness really necessary? thanks

The 60# injectors have a different style plug recepticle on them, The harnesses plug into the existing injector harness on one end and injector on the other.

Use automotive silicone grease to lube the rings. Make sure you don't use silicone sealant...somebody did that after I guess I was not clear enough to them.
