My friend keeps challenging me to a roll race against his 600. hes a really good rider and my car will have around 425rwhp on cool nights, 3100 race weight. hes kind of a heavy kid too. what do you think? i'll also be changing pulleys soon and have 500+rwhp. would i win then?

I don't know man but it takes a real stout car to beat even a 600. Run him and find out just be safe.

I don't think you will have a shot unless you get above 500rwhp. I just raced a new ZX-6 from a 55mph roll and was dead even up to 120 when I had to let off. My car is probably at around 530-550 at the wheels, so with your car being lighter maybe around 500 or more to at least run him good.

Go 40-140 and you may stand a chance if you swap pullies. I have never ever ever ever been beaten from 40-140 by a 600.

I will run anybody on my R6 that wants to go.....the only disclaimer is that, if you win, I get to go swap bikes and bring my R1 back to the mix and we run again.

It depends really what year 600 and how good a rider is and their weight...lol. If its a relative newer bike you probably won't win but some of the older 600s are pretty slow and a 420 rwhp car can beat them.

stock liter bikes are around 155 rwhp, so a modded 750 could do 142. if you have a car that can beat a bike you have something to be proud of. any rider that gets blown away by a car though shouldnt be riding. beating a bike is possible but not easy, but killing one is almost impossible, unless he is about 3 gears too high.

The only liter bikes making 155whp + are 04-05 R1's, 05gsxr 1000, and the 04-05 Zx-10... An 04 gsxr 750 makes around 120-125whp stock, full pipe/commander/filter you're looking at probably a hair over 130.. 142 is ALOT for a 750..

My friend just raced his GSXR-600 last Friday and ran an 11.2 at 126 mph. Good luck on beating him.

That's a tough call, but I think you might have a chance. I used to own a 9-second nitrous injected 5.0 Stang and I beat every rice rocket I raced without hitting the juice. I think you could take him from a 40 mph roll

most new 600s are capable of high 10s with mph in the 120s so even 600s aren't slouches anymore.
600s arent slouches but you will be hard pressed to see a 600 in the 10s. it would have to be seriously modded and have a kick ass pilot. low 11s are great for a 6. if a 600 ran 10s then liters would be in the 8s, and if liters can run 8s stock then the pros must really suck when they run 7s

Since this is a car enthusiast site, most people dont know much about sportbikes so i'll just post some general information. New 600's will run very close 1/4 mile ET's as liter bikes with equally skilled riders. Reason is the 600 with its lower power levels can get much more aggressive on the launch and through first and second gear. Secondly, the 1/4 mile times posted by sportbike magazines isnt reflective of how it would do against a car from a roll race. Reason is sportbikes fall victim to aerodynamics when it comes to highway speeds. Bikes have a huge advantage from a stop or low speed due to weight. Hence the astounding 1/4 mile times. From a 100mph roll for instance an 03 cobra that runs high 11's at 120mph, could very possibly pull away from a 600cc sportbike that runs 10.5 at 130 in the 1/4 mile.. The last thing u should keep in mind, sportbikes operate in RPM ranges from 1k to 15k rpm.. So try to comprehend what kind of loss of acceleration a sportbike could have if it was raced in 1 gear too high? Or even 2 gears too high. Most newer 600's are in their powerband from 9-13k rpm.. If they start a roll race at 5k rpm, it could take a matter of seconds for you to start seeing that monstrous accleration that allows them to run mid 10's at 130mph.. By the time that happens your car might be 6 car lenghts ahead of the bike. Conclusion bikes and cars arent really the ideal competition for one another. If they do race all different kinds of outcomes might occur. Allright im done babbling.

I like bike races because it can go either way if you have a decently fast car. I've beat 600's before but I think under the right conditions it could of been the other way around. You just never know.

I raced some kind of 600 the other night and actually pulled on him in 3rd. I was very suprised to say the least! He did smack the rev limiter going into 3rd so I know he was trying, but I was starting to pull on him by then. It all comes down to the skill of the rider like everyone else is saying.
