That's not too uncommon and I've seen it happen to friends. One in a Monte Carlo, and the other in a Supra.

ALL auto companies have massive recalls/problems every year. We only really hear in depth about Gm/Ford etc because we're around then constantly.
Toyota just recalled 500,000 Cars, that insane.
Seriously though, some GM cars look and feel like they were put together by a 6 year-old. Some mustangs may be a little boring inside STOCK, but at least they're solid.
