It was the only 67 super snake made, so that helps. Still crazy money. 289 AC Cobra for over 1 mil. People have some cool stuff.

I can only hope that someday someone will think my 1 of 1 Shelby will be worth a lot of money!

Does anyone know who bought the SS?

Is that the car that had special super rare tires on it from the factory? Cool on many levels. Sad that it won’t ever be driven.

Why won't it get driven? My friend owns the "Dick Smith" Cobra CSX3035, and not only drives it but occasionally will let others drive it. He paid more to Wayne Carini than the SS just sold for.

That’s awesome. I can’t believe I was able to see that car in person a few years back.

Yeah, I also saw that car. It was at a Shelby meet in Dallas in the early 1980’s. Sunday was always the car show, and this one was at a little city park in the mid-cities somewhere, IIRC. I had my ‘65 there and a buddy told me to come check it out. Back then I was actually more clueless than I am now and was like ‘humm, cool I guess, but meh, stripes don’t look right.”
