I’ve always preferred 69/70s over the 68, but that’s gorgeous.
Neck snapper on the road I’m absolutely positive.

Nice!!!I bought this 68 Fastback a few years back, it's was a stock 289 C code. Very clean, straight and recently had the Acapulco blue paint laid down after it was taken down to bare metal. After a few years of kicking around the idea of restomodding it, I finally decided to pull the trigger. It pains me because it was a numbers matching 289, 4 speed AC car but the final product will be well worth it.
The body will not be touched, it be left as it sits. 67-68 Mustang Fastbacks are one of the most beautiful, timeless and iconic body styles ever made and shouldn't be messed with in my opinion. The intent is to leave the changes subtle with modern (much improved) driveline and suspension changes. The engine will be a monster that will look somewhat period correct sitting between the stock shock towers (no mustang 2 front) based on a 60's Windsor (new Dart block and AFR heads) upgraded with EFI and stack injection.
A big shout out to Revolution Speed Shop who will/has been doing a lot of the work on the car. I head down when I can to help work on the car but by and large it's now in their hands. We're trying to get the car ready for some major shows, and possibly a magazine feature.
The Engine is being built by Prestige Motorsports who will testing 205 and 220cc AFR heads to find the best combination. I was informed this week that Borla will possibly be coming down to his shop to take pictures of the engine to display it on the big screen at the Borla booth at SEMA.
Plans for the car:
Small Block 427 Windsor based stroker (Dart block, AFR heads)
Borla Stack Injection
Complete Currie Ford 9" with 3.55 trutrac gears
Rack and Pinion Steering
Wilwood 6 Piston Fronts 4 piston rears
Ride Tech coilover suspension
Ride tech 4 link rear
TMI Custom Interior - subtle with original style theme
Anyway on to the pics and the progress so far:

I ran those headers. I had a semi-okay experience with them. They didn't always fits worth a damn lol.
Love the progress though. Especially for a man with a vagina-avatar.
