Sixth-Generation Camaro Z/28 Cancelled: Exclusive
It’s not a shock that GM is ending the Camaro after this generation. According to the article, development ended for the Alpha platform Z/28 variant; along with the power plant that is what was supposed to be the successor to the LS7. Other articles state that the Z/28 would’ve been equipped with a variation of the C8Z06 FPC V8. Though I find the LT3 to be more intriguing; the 5.5L wound be a good choice for a Road course focused muscle car. It would be interesting to know how close the Z/28 could get to performance of the ZL1 or ZL1 1LE, if it was a finished product.
