Is there any additional hardware needed, and does the lower shock mount bolt up to the stock lower shock bracket? How stiff are the springs for a mild weight reduced car, they seem they would be on the stiffer side according to the QA1 site.

I'm not sure, unbolted them from a car in the 9's.. Yes they should bolt onto the stock lower mounts just fine.
