Well, I've been tossing around the idea of selling my twin turbo 89 GT. I was thinking that if someone offered me $6000 it would be hard to pass up. It would need a new shortblock. It has a fresh stock shortblock in it now, with only about 500 miles on it, but it wont last, infact, it has already started smoking. It has good heads (AFR 165). I would think for about $3500-$4000 you could get a built 4-bolt shortblock assembled, then pump some major boost into it.
pretty much everything mechanical has been replaced at some point since I have owned it.

Heres some quick specs:
Engine:
Stock freshened shorblock with stock crank, rods, pistons, cam, clevite bearings and plasma moly rings about 500 miles on it
AFR 165 heads, new valve seals, 3-angle valve job, and a couple valves replaced
Crane 1.7 roller rockers
Cobra intake manifold port matched to intake ports on heads
70 mm BBK throttle body
magnacore plug wires
3 core radiator
mark VIII fan with DC fan Controller
Turbo system
shorty headers, upside down with flanges flipped
garret t3 turbos from t-bird
Custom front mount intercooler
custom exhaust from turbos to a bassani stainless steel catback
has test pipes installed, comes with colt in magnaflow cats
dsm 1g blow off valve
apexi turbo timer
Fuel system:
cartech stage 3(1000hp) fuel system (dual external walbro 255 lph pumps)
frpp 80 mm mass air meter
siemens deka 60 lb/hr injectors
cartech fuel rails and regulator
-8 supply line, -6 return
Driveline:
billet flywheel less than 10k miles
spec stage 3 clutch less than 10k miles
tremec 3550 transmission with 25k miles
steeda tri-ax shifter
aluminum driveshaft
Rear End
01 Cobra IRS
MM poly bushings
billetflow brace
MM endlinks
03 cobra springs (1/2 coil cut)
03 cobra shocks
Front Suspension
94 GT knuckles/hubs
03 cobra springs (5/8 coil cut)
KYB AGX adjustable struts
Brakes
94 Mustang GT vacuum booster
94 mustang master cylinder
line locks
03 cobra 10th anniversary red calipers
FRPP rotors
01 cobra rear brakes
99 Cobra Wheels with 245 cooper tires

Others
Recently replaced carpet
01 gt leather front seats
white face gauges
Autometer boost, oil pressure, water temp, and 5" tach
newer Ford OEM headlights
lx tails
mach 1 style fibeglass hood
battery in trunk with cut off switch behind plate
3g alternator

Bads
Paint isn't the greatest, id call it a 6/10 both doors have been keyed, and there is rust on the hatch.
I don't know the color of the car, so I havent been able to get things fixed. Its a single stage mediocre paint job.

It made 380hp and 460 ft-lbs with the stock shortblock at only 8 psi. it would easily make 500+ with more boost.

So, here are a couple pics:

oh, and I figured I would add that this car runs amazing. It starts up instantly, idles perfect. no surging or any of that crap. It drives nice with the 3.27 gears. It just smokes when you get on it hard and also after you have been off the gas and making vacuum, like just coasting in gear then it makes a big puff.

My theory, which will be confirmed when I do the leak down test, is that it was overly rich before I got it on the dyno and when we first started tuning, and the oil got contaminated with fuel, causing excessive ring wear. when I changed the oil after the dyno it smelled like gas.

wow.....badass car and an awesome price. I think it may be the turbos that are smoking. Might need an oil evac pump or something like that I think its called? this is going to be a great deal for someone

A scavenger pump? Could be, but with the turbo's mounted up high like that, they should drain just fine without a pump. I've got a dart based 438" short block I'd sell you.... A big inch twin turbo'd fox would be sweeeeeeeettttttttttt!!!:pepper::pepper:

could be. I don't know though. It didn't smoke for about the first 400 miles or so. it's only started smoking in the last 100. I put oil feed restrictors on the turbos, and the smoking has been reduced, so it may be the oil seals in the turbo. I am going to do a leak down next week so I will know for sure.

I am considering parting this car out, so if anyone has interest in parts let me know. if anyone was waiting for a price drop it isn't going to happen. I figure i can get over 8000 partin it out so 6 is the rock bottom.

6 cylinders have 85-90% sealing, 10-15% leak
the back 2 have 40% sealing, 60% leak.

needs a short block for sure

I am going to part it out, but it most likely wont be rolling. depending of course on your offer and what you wanted on it, most of the money making parts are the front suspension and the irs.
