89 to 90 and 17 to 18 headlights

Is it just me or did Ford designers do a throw back to the Fox body's headlights? Please delete if it's been discussed

That pace car front end is 1979-1986 and then the facelift happened in 1987-1993.

That being said, I see the resemblance of the 87-93 compared to 18+ but I don't see any resemblance on the 15-17 with the 79-86
