Selling this notchback for a buddy of mine who really doesn't have the time to sell it himself. First off, this mustang began its life as a 4 cylinder & now has a 96 Explorer 5.0 engine with over 100k miles. It's one of the easiest engine swaps there is for this set-up & don't forget that the 96 Explorers come with GT40 heads, GT40 lower & upper intakes!!! The car is originally from the south so there's no rust, undercarriage is very clean, title in hand & it's clear too! Now for the bad...engine starts right up runs strong but starts to knock around the passenger side once warmed up, drives fine but eventually the car's engine will get worse, so to sum it up, the car will need some engine work. He was going to make this car into a project for himself but just simply didn't realize all the work it is to do a project car & literally has no time to do it & that's why he's selling this notchback at a low low price.
Here's what this beauty will need to get things to 100%......
1. Rebuild engine or simply just swap another 5.0 Explorer engine
2. Has a fresh rebuilt T5 tranny but 3rd gear has a whine, shifts perfect though
3. No gauges work but the tachometer & battery gauges
4. Passenger side door doesn't open, only opens from the inside
5. Has no a/c nor heat, was taken off for weight reduction
6. Power mirror only partly works on driver's side
7. Interior panels are all there but will need a repaint or replaced
