What was your spark plug gap at when you started blowing the plugs out and what ignition are you "upgrading" to?

.025 then we tried .020 and still blew out (gained 20hp just from gapping them down to), I have them gapped down to .015 right now but that was done after the dyno, idles fine, adding a boost spark also.

Nice intercooler, except now you gotta keep an eye on the water cooling pump and always make sure its working now. Seriously get that shit togther and out to the track already, i dont see how somebody can have a car all hooked up like this and only dyno it and not run it.

I want to run it so bad, what do you think I like having it in the garage just looking at it? lol I got over anxious and put it on the dyno and wasting money, knowing I might have issues with spark blow out. Plus I rather take care of whatever issues arise on the dyno then at the track, at the track so many other things are happening that it will be harder to diagnose.

Ya its another thing to sort of worry about but I have the tune setup to pull timing if it knocks,IAT get high or if the ECT gets high.

Yes, I use an hpx pmax mass air but since the cold side is only 3 inch it will only support around 800hp (I switched it when we got close to pegging it with the tr3650, dunno at what he it would peg with the auto)

I did some testing cruising around with it and I like how the IATs drop instead of going up lol, also moved the tank over to the left side to get some weight over the left wheel since the right has the battery.

I am gonna try it on the dyno one last time if it is fixed then ill head out to the track, should be testing it some time this week. If everything goes okay 30 or so lbs of boost.

So the car has been on the back burner a little, I bought a new miller tig welder and decided to start custom building turbo kits and redid my hotside and downpipe.

it used to be a single 3" all the way down off the turbo, now its a 4" that y's into dual 3" exits out both sides of the bumper.

Space was really tight and I had to make 7 bends in the new down pipe, but I manged to get it on, here is half the tip of the new down pipe, I polished it up so it can look like one pieces instead of a couple of welded pieces, the other pieces I forgot to take pics of lol gonna fab up a new shield for both sides with flames out of stainless, try out the new plasma cutter.

heres a video to.

This is actually 3 pieces all blended to look like one piece, I really like this look

Advice on welding?

Patience, make sure everything fits perfectly gaps are not your friend. Prep, when I start the arch on the foot pedal I ramp it up slowly till it puddles then time to move, and being comfortable is important to, I kind of don't like this torch the wires going to it are to bulky. I seen a YouTube video where someone was able to change it but lost the control at the torch

havent done anything to the car but ive been doing allot of tigging

I made a new video of it, It needs to go on the dyno again to recheck if the spark blow out was fixed or not.

Heres a video and a picture of a customers exhaust pipe I tigged.

I coated the downpipe so it smoked at first but it went away after a couple of revs, as you can tell towards the end of the video

time to finish this car up so I can start racing it.

So I decided to weld up the torque boxes, added the torque box reinforcements and then welding those in.

Then changing all the suspension to team z uppers and lowers, anti roll bar, afco shocks.

welded the axle tubes on the diff, (with some very nice tig filler rod, no cracking here ;) )

Also adding bracing to the diff.

Taking off all the sound deadning, and all the extra misc stuff that the car doest need to lose some weight.

Here are some pics, still in progress.

Got the gears and spool in and got the backlash and preload and wear pattern set perfectly.

suspension came in also, got everything put on and the roll bar welded on.

Hopefully getting the new axles in the mail this week, Then I will add some bracing to the diff, it is the last step before I can race it, that and some safety stuff like roll bar padding and a 5 point harness moving the fuel lines. then I will do some tnt

I had a couple of friends give me advice on the suspension and one had a car (even the same color lol) just like this one with a similar setup and the same exact suspesion, gonna try his "settings" for a baseline
