That is the most ridiculous thread I've read in quite a while! thanks for the laughs!

...and really, if you notice, it turned into a 2v-npi-bash-fest and had nothing more about the cobras after page 1 :)

Yes there was, although it DID turn into the NPI bashfest thanks to 20inhand's posts...

I'd rock my slushbox NPI before a '93 Cobra/Cobra R. Nice looking cars sure, but as Ralph stated earlier, they're nothing that can't be replicated at a 1/4 of the original cost.

Just for ##### and giggles

You can buy a 93 Cobra in mint condition, flawless history and low miles for what, $10,000 at best? Add $15k easily for a Cobra R in the same condition.

Buy a mint slushbox NPI for $4,000 max, spend the remaining $6k from the Cobra (or $21k from the Cobra R) and have an NPI (again, for ##### and giggles) that will run over your Cobra/Cobra R all day ... or the both of 'em. ORRRR buy any DOHC and call it day.

You just have to know this kid. He came on there about a year ago, and has been the epitome of fail ever since. We told him to find another car after he posted up some questions about the NPI he currently has. He obviously didn't listen. But hey, who the **** cares? The 93 R is just a '93 GT with a body kit, right? :lol1:

That thread is all over the place, with no end in sight......lol!

As is par for the course over there. The only reason I still even bother with that place is that I've made a few friends, and have gotten some bang-up deals over the years. If it wasn't for that, I would've said **** it a loooooong time ago.:nonono:

The amount of utter stupidity of some of those guys is unbelievable.........not even worth my time to post a rebuttle.

There are a lot of decent guys on there (and twice as many boneheads), and I've done a little parts selling/trading, so it still makes for a good resource for me.

Gee, what was I thinking paying a couple extra thousand for a clean, stock, well maintained, always garaged, perfect running cobra when I could of saved that money and had a ragged out notch sitting on some guys side yard with porno red interior, and a list of items to fix.

I really wish I had bought a rusty old 89 lx or girly 94 gt instead of a sweet cobra..

I'm in DFW mine is Black, honk if you see me :rolling: .

I've had two 93 Cobra's I love these damn things, the lines are so good with the different kit. If they only had a tilt wheel it might be the perfect car ;) (planning on fixing that soon)

Someone else mentioned the unlimited potential of foxes, that's what keeps me coming back. Before I bought my current 93 I was DEAD set on an e46 M3, but ol' dad had to have a z06 so I couldn't just let this Cobra leave the family ;) plus ya know it's pop so the deal was a lot better than any I could get on an M3. Still want one of those e46's though, it's like a german mustang!

I just signed up overhere (been trolling for years, lost my old account also) and I gotta say it's sooooo much better than the Corral, I found a new home ;)

For what it's worth...I don't have a 93 Cobra, but more than a few times I have questioned myself on the 96 Cobra I currently own.

Of course it would be sacrilege, but a 93 Cobra with a 4v turbo would be my own personal "Ultimate Cobra"!!

Ahh... The Davis'...

Their car lot is here in my town... LOL

He usually has some really nice pieces but they are almost always a
"tick" on the high side as far as price is concerned.

I have purchased a vehicle from him in the past...

I've seen a few. A local guy here acutally drives his quite a bit, but it shows...not very well taken care of.

I've only seen a 95R locally once, years ago at a now closed drag strip.

where at in dfw. only black one i saw, i did not even want to say it was a cobra because it was not taken care of by any means lol.

I'm in Ft. Worth. I think I might know which one you are talking about, was it black? One of the coporate guys at UPS drove a really faded and tore up 93 Cobra. It's funny I live really close to the person I sold my last 93 Cobra to. It was black on black w/sunroof, the current Cobra is black on gray with the Recaro option ;) I'll post some pics later

FYI 89-92 VW GTI/GLI Recaro's are almost a perfect match with the gray and can be picked up for $300-$400 a pair on the internets
