Doing a pre, pre inspection on my '96 Cobra I noticed the rear sway bar has a crack about 1/4 the way around the bar on one end. So it's on borrowed time.

The Ford replacement bar is cheap enough. (The 27mm hollow bar gets replaced by a 25mm solid)

But before I get it I wanted to be sure there wasn't something better for me.

My car is a daily driver that will see a couple OT events a year. As far as suspension mods it only has mild springs. (600lbs front, 250lbs rear) It doesn't have sub frame connectors yet but I'm about to order those.

I'm not sure whether to get the factory replacement bar, a slightly thicker bar, a set of front and rear bars, or just an adjustable rear bar.

Looking into rear Mustang suspension upgrades the gist, I think, is do nothing more than springs and dampners. Because if you ever want to feel good about about your rear mustang suspensions behavior you have to ditch the 4-link quadrabind for something else.

Opinions?

After much research, I think I will just get a Ford replacement bar.

I can still make other suspension improvments and use a factory bar.

Plus, I can get it for about $80.
