So.. I just purchased a Hellion Turbo Kit (Tuner Kit) for my 96 Cobra with the added 76mm Turbonetics turbo with billet wheel option. I purchased the kit from Chris at Power Adder Solutions and might I add they have the best customer service I have ever dealt with when ordering parts. I Highly recommend them and they have the best prices that are unmatched ( I did check around). The turbo was drop shipped from Turbonetics, The suspension was drop shipped for UPR , and the turbo kit was drop shipped from Hellion.Upon receiving the items everything was intact minus the coolant cross over tube that I was told will be shipped as soon as it is back from the powder coater, that is currently in transit.… the only issue I saw was the intercooler had some scratches not quite up to my “brand new” standards but I figure it will get beat up over time and its not a HUGE deal… not terribly scratched. So I started working on the vehicle last weekend.. so far I removed the factory k- member , removed my longtubes, swapped the stock manifolds back on, and installed the UPR Chrome Moly K member that came with the kit. I decided to send back the UPR caster camber plates due to them being the 3 bolt design as I wanted to go with the 4 bolt design because a full weight vehicle on Michigan roads kind of concerns me with a tubular/coil over front suspension. Just wanted some added security. I will be working on the vehicle some more this weekend and will take more pictures. My time is kinda limited between work full time and school full time so bare with me. I am not planning on getting the vehicle to a dyno until spring time…so numbers will come later. But this is meant to be a fun thread for myself as I have never done one before and if anyone is planning on going turbo in the future you will see the quality that hellion provides. Here are a few pics I snapped… I will be adding more as time goes by. one more thing i would like to add is i was told i wouldn't need an oil filter relocation kit... but the stock filter will not fit with this k member...im wondering if that is due to my motor mounts possibly being old and worn?
