ok people here it is. I am selling my 1996 VW GTI. It has just under 150K , but runs very strong and does not feel like 150k mile car at all. Only issues with car are few rust spots shown in pictures out of which one at rear hatch is typical for these cars, basicly it needs new hatch, and 2 weeks ago one of the ac lines developed leak at the factory crimp near compressor. I will replace the hose before car is sold and have the a/c properly runing.
I have done number of mods to this car , and they include:
-H&R springs,
-Tokico Adjustable struts,
-Neuspeed front and rear sway bar,
- Autotech front strut tower brace,
-EIP stage II chip ( i still have stock chip),
-2.5" cat-back exhaust
-9Jx16 Borbet (these are ordered directly from Germany, i have cousin over there who sent them to me),
-tires are sumitomo 225-45R16( i personaly like better 215-40R16 on these wheels, but i just wanted to try this size and car gets excelent traction, however i dont like the way they look, but i guess next owner can change size to their taste)
-Brembo brake discs both front and rear, with Mintex brake pads
-Hella smoked dummies and turns
-Aftermarket Headlights( one original headlight cracked, but i still have them)
-European VR6 front lip,
-European drivers side mirror (i brought this from europe myself)
-MOMO pedals
-both parking brake cables (recently changed)
Besides all this car was regulary mainteined and runs and drives perfect.
